[This is a long file because in response to a request of the town of Warwick fearing Benjamin Porter was squandering his estate and would be a charge to the town, on 11 Jun 1821, Benjamin Porter of Warwick, was declared a spendthrift due to excessive drinking. A William Cobb was appointed guardian, but the town of Orange, claiming that Benjamin Porter resided in Warwick but was an settled Inhabitant of Orange, requested Cobb's removal, fearing he was squandering the resources of Benjamin Porter and making him a potential charge of the town.
