"Early Settlers of Rowley, Mass." in Source:Essex Institute Historical Collections (Essex Institute Press), Vol. 22, p. 292, lists Benjamin as the oldest child, so before Mehitable born 1710-11. Presumably this is based on the order named in the indenture dividing land of their Grandfather's that was held in common by their father and their uncle Timothy: Vol. 72, p. 32 reverse 13 Feb 1735/6: Tim'o Palmer of Rowley Yeoman of one part; and Benj'a Palmer & Tho's Palmer both of Upton sons & heirs of Sam'll Palmer formerly of Rowley but late of Mendon, James Ricks [later Rix] of Upton with Mehitable his wife Daughter of ye Dec'd, John Hunt of Grafton with Mary his wife Daughter of ye Dec'd, & Nathan Tyler of Mendon as Gardian for Sam'll & Jon'a Palmer sons of ye Dec'd agreed to make a division
