History and Genealogy of the Conant Family in England and America, p. 374, although offering an incomplete biography of Benjamin, adds two children: "James, d. y", and "Maria, d. 25 Oct., 1862, aged 51". The basis for these attributions is unknown. Clearly, no record of James is available, since there is no date or details. Maria d. Warwick in 1862 (Vol. 156, p. 319), but her death record lists no birthplace or parents, and this death location seems odd for the child of a father who lived in Vermont, possibly still alive at the time of her death, given how many Conant families were in Warwick. Allred, p. 69, does not place Maria in any of the families.
