  3.   Charlestown VRs, p. 1:84, give the birth of two sons named Benjamin in this family, the first 20 Feb 1670, the second 30 Mar 1672. The second date, 1672, is so far from the estimated birth date calculated from the age at death (age 57 in 1735/36 so born about 1677-1678) that the Bunker Genealogy appears to assume that the surviving Benjamin was yet a different Benjamin, a third son by this name, even though no death or additional birth record is found in the VRs. To be of legal age in 1698 when he married, Benjamin would have needed to be born by 1677, and his father d. 2 Jun 1678. No baptisms of any of these are found in Source:Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. Records of the First Church in Charlestown, 1632-1789. The Bunker Genealogy has been followed for now. Further confirmation would be nice.
