BULLARD, Benjamin, s. Benjamin and Martha, [born] May 1, 1670.
↑ The will of Benjamin's half-brother dated 1748 mentions his (half-) brother Benjamin, but the sale of his real estate is performed by his three sons in 1753, suggesting Benjamin died in this interval. Source:Bullard, Edgar John. Other Bullards, a Genealogy, p. 9, says he had four sons, name of last unknown, and d. 1760 age 90, citing History of Worcester County? This seems an odd source for a man living in Middlesex County and the reference (no page given) has not been located. However in Source:Barton, William Sumner. Genealogical Sketch of Dr. Artemas Bullard of Sutton, and His Descendants, p. 5, says "had four sons, all born in Sherborn ... removed to the house of his son Benjamin, in Holliston, where he died about the year 1760, aged ninety". So while the source of the Bullard statements may have been located, it still is contradicted by located facts: that only three births are recorded in Sherborn and Benjamin's sons, and only three sons, appear to have inherited a legacy left to their father in 1753.
