ADAMS, Bathsheba, ch. Obadiah, bp. May 11, 1735. C.R.1.
This baptism is very problematical given the birth of Hepzibah 31 Mar 1735, and the lack of any mention of a daughter Bathsheba in the father's will, or in this family by Source:Adams, Andrew N. Genealogical History of Henry Adams, of Braintree, Mass., and His Descendants, p. 512. No marriage or death for this Bathsheba is found (the marriage in 1763 is for the daughter of Eleazer and Bathsheba Adams, as shown by the age at death of Bathsheba Underwood, which corresponds to a birth in 1746). Probably it is either a mistranscription or misrecording of Hepzibah's baptism. Unfortunately, the church records are not online, and the vital records only print baptisms more than a year different than than the birth, so we cannot tell if a separate baptism is found for Hepzibah.
