- 5 Feb 1753 Basil Williams "Carpenter, of Frederick County" sold William's Lot situated on the draught of the Seneca River to Richard Waters one of the Anne Arundel's gentry. Basil's wife Mary waved her dower rights. Basil must have sold all or part of Collin's Folly, because on 23 Mar 1753 the same Richard Waters bought it from "Joseph Williams, Tavern Keeper." Prudence Williams, Joseph's wife, acknowledged the transaction.[Harry Wright Newman.
