Smoke Ferree CD - November 2004 He is supposedly buried at Union Cemetery in Fairfield, Adams County, Pennsylvania. At his death the real estate was sold to W.P. Nunnemaker, Paxtob Riley was executor of Barnabas' will. He was a carpenter and built Maria Furnace at Calendonia Iron Works [9] (81 years, 9 months, 2 days")
[4] p. 281, 446, 471 "...was a carpenter by trade, at which he worked the greater part of his life. He also cultivated a farm in Liberty Township, this County, which be bought. He built the Maria Furnace Works, in Hamiltonban Township, and the Caledonia Iron Works, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was an industrious man, of good character, and a deacon in the Lutheran Church for many years. In 1869 he removed to Fairfield, this County, in which place he died." He was also an original member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hamiltonban Township, first organized in 1855.
On 27 November 1823 when Barnabus was 24, he married Mary Sheets [1], daughter of David Sheets (5 June 1775-25 November 1854) & Anna Maria (18 July 17 77-29 December 1848). Born on 26 August 1805 in Freedom Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Mary died on 11 March 1890; she was 84. Buried in Union Cemetery in Fairfield, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Mary Riley to have the use of the above articulars as long as she will keep hous for hirself and if she wount keep house then each gets ther articular. 12. Daniel B.
