MRS. BARBARA WISHART DEAD, AGED 82 YEARS
Was Born Near the Hill church on the First Day of May, 1830
OLDEST OF LARGE FAMILY
Mrs. Barbara A. Wishart, aged 82, died at 9 o'clock Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. W. Crane, 213 North Central avenue. Death was caused by congestion of the lungs and valvular heart trouble. Mrs. Wishart's maiden name was Horn, and she was born near the Hill church, in North Strabane township, May 1, 1830, the daughter of John K. and Elizabeth (Crumrine) Horn. In 1856 she was married to John Norris, who died in 1864, leaving three children - Charles P. Norris, Canonsburg; John D. Norris, Lancaster, O., and Margaret J., wife of D. W. Crane, of Canonsburg. Another daughter, Elizabeth, is deceased. In 1864 Mrs. Norris was married to Dr. Robert Wishart of Washington, who died many years ago. One daughter, Mrs. W. V. Cook, Canonsburg, was born to the second marriage. Mrs. Wishart is survived by three brothers and sisters; John K. Horn, Scenery Hill; Frank M. Horn, Seligman, Mo.; Levi Horn, Lynville, Iowa; Mrs. Phoebe Devore, Canonsburg, and Mrs. Lizzie C. Charlton, White Isle, S.D. Two brothers and two sisters are dead.
Mrs. Wishart when quite young united with the Lutheran church at Scenery Hill, Pa. At the time of her death she was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Canonsburg. All her long life she was a devout Christian and was highly esteemed.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. C. G. Kerr and the Rev. Charles H. Pridgeon. Burial will be private at a later hour and will be made in the Chartiers cemetery, near the Hill church.
