"23. Barbara Bowman, married Phillip Brookhart, youngest brother of Jacob Brookhart, probably about 1787. This period is when the Brookharts were moving from York Co., Pa. to Hampshire Co., Va., so this marriage could have taken palce in a number of counties and states and has not helped locate the Bowman residence. They and their children moved from Frankfort, Hampshire Co., Va. to Jefferson Co., Ky. in 1802. She died before 1810 when Phillip Brookhart m. 2nd, Hannah, widow of Jesse Roach....The children of Phillip and Barbara (Bowman) Brookhart lived in Jefferson Co. and Warren Co., Ky. with relatives of their parents."
