Azrie Higginbotham, 90, Jellico Creek Community, Williamsburg, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center, Corbin. He was a member of the Ryans Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Ruth Jones and husband, Elbert of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons, Raymond Higginbotham of Williamsburg, Ralph Higginbotham and wife, Betty June of Williamsburg and H.C. Higginbotham of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Paul Higginbotham of Norwood, Ohio; two sisters, Ruth Murphy of Cincinnati, Ohio and Lula Jefferys of Norwood, Ohio; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verlia Meadors Higginbotham and a daughter-in-law, Louise Higginbotham.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 6 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester Cox and Rev. Herbert Wells officiating. Burial was in the Jellico Creek Cemetery.
