The Adams Masonic Lodge #164, Norfolk, Arkansas was chartered Nov. 7, 1861 by 20 charter members, including Azariah Tinnin, who was elected Secretary. Shortly after the Civil War, Azariah and Amanda, along with their family, moved to Salado, Texas. Azariah had Tinnin cousins who settled this area. (one cousin, Jeramiah Tinnin had gone there with Robertson's Colony.) Azariah had a general merchandise store just across the street from the Old Stage Coach Inn in Salado. References
