At St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Monday March 22, 2004, Agnes (Ava) van Arkel of Kingsway Lodge St. Marys in her 82 yr. She was born on August 30, 1922 in Holland and immigrated with her husband Pieter and 4 small children to Canada in 1952. She was predeceased by her husband Pieter van Arkel (1994). Loving mother of Ina Cook of Englehart, Evert van Arkel and Linda of St. Marys, Neeltje (Nettie) van Arkel of Stratford, Reine van Arkel and Joyce of St. Marys. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Joan van Arkel of St. Marys. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and family in the Netherland and New Zealand. Predeceased by a son-in-law Larry Cook and a brother-in-law Case van Arkel. The late Agnes van Arkel will rest at the L.A.Ball Funeral Chapel 7 Water St. N. St. Marys from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM on Wednesday March 24, 2004 with Rev. Shannon Tennant officiating. A family committal service will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens London. In her memory donations to the Alzheimer Society or St. Marys Memorial Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
