In 1910, he was a clerk in grocery store; 1917 he worked in construction; 1940 He was bookkeeper for a brassware mfr.; 1942, when he completed the WWII draft card, he was employed at the General Motors Buick Plant in Melrose Park IL It appears that he and his brother, Lester, completed their WWI Draft cards on the same day, June 5 1917. At that time, he was single and living in River Forest, Illinois. In 1942 his address was 321 Wisconsin Ave, Oak Park, Illinois and next of kin was Mrs. J(?) Strouse, same address. He was living in Oak Park, Illinois when his father died in 1947, and in Chicago when his mother died in 1965.
