Audry Marie (Gregg) Bayless, 94, Carbondale, Kansas, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her home. She was born March 20, 1921 at Rantoul, KS, the daughter of Earl Alvin and Effie Florence Gregg.
Mrs. Bayless was a homemaker and spent most of her life in rural Carbondale, KS. She was an avid bowler and was league secretary for over 20 years.
Audry married James A. Bayless, December 16, 1936. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2002.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Merle L. Bayless in 2001, three grandsons, a great-grandson, three great-granddaughters and 10 siblings.
Survivors include three sons, James D. Bayless and Diana, Wellsville, KS; Larry G. Bayless, Ottawa, KS; Donald W. Bayless and Jan, Yulee, FL; three daughters, Connie E. Perry, Carbondale, KS; Bonnie M. Sisco, Carbondale, KS; Nina J. Rutledge and Cleave, Lawton, OK; a brother, Bobby Gregg and Rose Ann, Sun City West, AZ; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 11, 2015 at Shawnee Center Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS. Mrs. Bayless will lie in state from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, at Carey Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends and relatives from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
