Saylor: Audrey (Loughner), 86 of Davidsville, died peacefully Monday, July 10, 2017. Born March 22, 1931, in Johnstown, the daughter of Nelson “Gale” and Florence “Flo” Loughner. Preceded in death by her parents, nephew David Loughner, and grandson Adam Stahl. Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert “Bob”; children Barry married to Tammy Molnar, Susan married to Craig Stahl, and William “Bill” married to Kathleen McNulty; grandchildren Alicia Saylor-Branham, Laura Saylor-Renwick, Alex Stahl, Emily, Joseph, Anna, and Molly Saylor; great-grandchildren Mable, Brady, and Violet Branham, and Everett Renwick. Audrey is also survived by her brother for whom she held a deep and abiding love, Robert “Bob” Loughner and his wife Rose. Further, Audrey loved her large family of in-laws and is survived by wonderful brother and sister-in-laws and many loving nieces and nephews. Audrey loved her family and home in Davidsville, but always remained a “Johnstown girl”. Audrey grew up in the days when Johnstown was a bustling city and held fond memories of the Teen Canteen, window-shopping, trolley rides, and attending the First Presbyterian Church. Upon graduating from Johnstown High, Audrey went to work at McNally Tire and then Haws Refractory. She met her future husband at a square dance, married and made her home in Davidsville. A stay-at-home mom, Audrey was dedicated to her husband and children. A self-taught seamstress, later in life she broadened her sewing skills to creating quilts, making a quilt for each of her grandchildren. A wonderful baker, Audrey’s apple dumplings and gobs were a family favorite. Audrey embraced John Weismiller, Jr. as her “third son” and ensured he was filled with her wonderful cookies and baked goods. Audrey was a simple, quiet woman with a huge heart. Bob kept her laughing and together they created a comfortable, happy life. Audrey’s legacy is one of faith and love for her family. She appreciated all of God’s blessings. She was a woman of little need, but gave so much to those in her life. Audrey was intensely devoted to Bob in their later years providing care to him and ensuring his needs were met with grace and dignity. She never said goodbye without giving a kiss on the cheek and saying “I love you”. She will be sorely miss and forever cherished by her family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Wozniak, the Conemaugh Palliative Care Unit, Conemaugh Hospice, and the staff at Richland Woods for the extraordinary care, love, and support given to Audrey and her family. They are all amazing people and our family will remain forever grateful. Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville and from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. at Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville. Pastor Wes Yoder officiating. Internment Maple Spring Cemetery.
