From Powell family history book: " Mr H owns a occupies a good farm on the shore of the Twin Lakes. Is engaged in dairying and berry growing.He is the propagator of the Haymaker raspberry. Earlier in life hetaught in the public schools of the county, generally during the winter season. He has held official relations in his township, as well as in the ME Church of which the family are members. In a hard maple grove of their own planting on a beautiful shore of the lake, they have recently built and now occupy a good comfortable house with many of the modern fixtures, thus making an ideal country home. Their children are all graduates of Kent high school." Arvin attended Mount Union College. He was a Farmer and a teacher(in winters).
