    Arvin A. Dowell, formerly of Hutchinson, died Wednesday at Collins, Mo. after a long illness. Mr. Dowell moved here in 1943. He was born Feb. 23, 1907, at Chillicothe, Mo. He was owner of a dry goods store in Collins. Mr. Dowell was a member of the 32nd degree Masonic Lodge at Kansas City, Mo.

    Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Ida Dowell, 807 E. 4th; two sisters, Lena Dowell, and Mrs. Cecil Terry, Kansas City, Mo., and one brother, Howard, 801 East Sherman.

    Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson and Sons Chapel with Rev. J. Russell Throckmorton officiating. Burial will in Fairlawn Cemetery.
