!Obituary; Arvilla Duncan; Waterloo Press July 10, 1924 The funeral of Mrs. Arvilla Duncan, relict of late John Duncan, was held from the Waterloo Evangelical church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Rev. W. H. Mygrant, of Auburn, a former pastor of the Waterloo church. Interment took place in the Waterloo cemetery. Mrs. Duncan's death took place Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles F. Roberts in Auburn, following an illness of ten weeks of a stroke of apoplexy. She was 78 years of age. She was born May 14, 1846 in Steuben county three and one-half miles west of Hamilton. June 4, 1863 she was united in marriage to John Duncan of Waterloo at Barker's Chapel in Smithfield township and to them were born six children, three of whom are living, Paul V. Duncan, of Harvey, IL, John Duncan of Waterloo and Mrs. Roberts. The deceased was the last of a family of six children. She was a member of the Waterloo Evangelical church.
