A Marriage announcement was published in the New York Times newspaper, dated 22 Jul 1917. It reads:

“Miss Moore, Bride of A.F. Seaver. Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Dorothea Hull Moore, daughter of Mrs. Caroline H. Moore of Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, and Arthur Freeland Seaver, son of Charles Seaver of this city, which took place on Friday in Wellesley, Mass. The bride was graduated from Wellesley College in June. Mr. Seaver has been accepted for the United States aviation corps, and is now studying at the School of Technology in Boston. The ceremony was performed in the rose garden at one of the college houses. Mrs. Moore gave her daughter in marriage.”

BIOGRAPHY:

Graduate of Univ of PA; member of Phi Sigma Kappa. During the World War he served in the US Army Air Service, was in active duty at the front in France as first lieutenant in the Bombing Division and brought down 3 German planes. Was awarded the Croix de Guerre and Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery in action. (JMSeaver, 1923)
