Arthur owned and worked in Laurel grocery stores from 1919 until his retirement in 1971. Also worked for the U.S. Post Office in Laurel during WWII. 1920-75: Communicant member of Laurel Methodist Church and long time member of the LMC choir. Also sang with brothers, John and Fred, at many weddings and funerals in the Laurel area.
