ARTHUR L. MCKEE DIES IN HOSPITAL

  Arthur L. (Turkey) McKee, 1390 E. Pike St., who had lived in this community throughout his life died at 6:30 Monday evening in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
  He had been hospitalized since Feb. 1 after suffering a stroke.
  Mr. McKee formerly operated a portable feed grinder before being employed by the City of Martinsville, but had retired.  He belonged to the Red Man's Lodge and the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
  The son of Austin C. and Marth Neal McKee, he was born Aug. 14, 1896, in Cramertown community southeast of Martinsville.  On Feb. 29, 1924, he married Miss Edna Williams.
  She survives him as do three sons, Austin McKee of Lawrence, Earl of Whiteland, and Herman of Martinsville, a brother, Harry McKee of Indianapolis.  A son Chester, died earlier.
  Funeral services will take place at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Wilhite and Son Chapel, with burial to be in Hilldale.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock Wednesday evening.
