251.ARTHUR BURLEY McILVAIN was born in Champaign County, Ohio, Oct. 10, 1873. Upon the organization of the Farmers Banking Company, of West Liberty, Logan Co., Ohio, in 1892, he took charge of the books and records of the new bank. After serving seventeen years as cashier of the bank, he resigned but was retained as financial adviser to the Board of Directors, and in 1921 was elected President, which position he filled for some years. He died, unmarried, Nov. 23, 1933, while on board a train at Newton, Kansas. Buried in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty, Logan Co., Ohio.
