Arthur Malpass Arthur J. Malpass, 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 12,2003. He was born April 18, 1925 to Thomas and Clara (Watterworth) Malpass in Caseville.He attended Caseville and Pigeon schools. In 1942, he enlisted in the N aval Construction Battalion (Seabees) serving in the South Pacific until 1945. He married E. Joy Cleaver in Caseville in 1946. Art worked in construction all of his life building many homes and commercial buildings in Huron and Midland counties. He also owned Malpass Storage of Caseville. He is survived by his wife, E. Joy Malpass, of Midland; one daughter, Sandy Ittner and her husband, Tom, of Midland; sons, Richard Malpass and his wife, Lisa, of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Rodney Malpass of Chicago , Illinois; three grandchildren, Anjelica Ittner, Drake and Loriann Malpass . He was predeceased by four brothers, and four sisters. By request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2003 , from the Ware-Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 Wheeler Street in Midland. The Rev. Mike Luce from the Poseyville United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time on Saturday. Full Military Honors will b e presented by the Midland Area Veterans. Memorials may be made to American Legion/Sanford Post No. 443 or Saginaw VA Hospital.
