Arthur F. Jackson, 78, passed away Wednesday March 25, 2015. He was the beloved husband of ____ Jackson for 54 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Arthur F. and Virginia C. (O'Neil) Jackson. Dr. Jackson was a Professor of Philosophy at Providence College for 47 years before retiring in 2014. Professor Jackson was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy class of 1954, received his undergraduate degree from Providence College in 1959 and his Masters Degree and Ph.D. from Boston College. He was a member of the American and R.I. Philosophical Associations, a member of REALIA, a former member of the Harriers Running Club and a former Mensa member. He was a member of the Appalachian Club and loved being in the outdoors, hiking, cooking and listening to classical music. [Living survivors have been deleted from this record.]

His funeral will be held Monday March 30, 2015 at 8:30am from the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville, RI. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Sunday 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Raphael Academy, 123 Walcott Ave., Pawtucket, RI 02904 will be appreciated.
