Birth: Apr. 29, 1914 Merriam Noble County Indiana, USA Death: Nov. 18, 1972 Goshen (Elkhart County) Elkhart County Indiana, USA Arthur Carroll Fausnaugh was known as both "Carrol" and "Fuzz". He graduated from Cromwell High School. His primary occupation was as a locomotive engineer on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, but was also a farmer and entrepreneur, starting and running businesses such as Tri-County Cement Products and Tri-CO Servisoft (soft water). He was an avid sportsman, who traveled often to Canada to hunt and fish. He was particularly skilled at trap and skeet shooting. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, Masons and Scottish Rite. He was also regional president of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and a staunch Democrat. Obituary: Arthur Carroll Fausnaugh, 58, died Saturday in Goshen Hospital of a heart attack. He was born April 29, 1914 in Kimmell to Harry C. and Zoe (Fry) Fausnaugh. On Jan. 14, 1933 he was married at Mt. Etna to Mildred W. Moore. He was a lifetime resident of Kimmell and was an engineer for the B&O Railroad. He was a member of Kimmell United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge 705, Cromwell. Surviving are the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Dowden, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Larry (Gail) Givens, Baton Rouge, La.; a son, Alden (Doc) of Kimmell; and nine grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday in Ulrey Funeral Home, Ligonier.
