Arthur R. Crawford, age 92, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Born July 25, 1923, Art was preceded in death by his parents Claud and Bessie, brother Wayne, sister Harriet Hone, and by his beloved wife June. Art is survived by his brother Claud; his children Daniel (Sharon), Rebecca Pruden, David (Lynn), Elizabeth (Ellery) Lamkie and Stephen (Peggy); 9 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; and 4 great-grandchildren. Art was the pastor of Riverside Bible Church for 48 years, from its founding in 1962 until his retirement in 2010. He led verse-by-verse studies in both the Old and New Testaments, always centered on the Bible as the inerrant Word of our sovereign God. In addition, he taught Bible studies across the country. Art graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in nuclear physics. A United States Navy veteran of World War II, Art was a pioneer in the field of industrial vibration analysis and founded International Research and Development Corporation and Production Measurements Corporation. The last years of his professional career were spent as an international consultant on vibration problems, specializing in system resonances. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00p.m. FRIDAY at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, OH 43065 (614)792-1471. (The funeral home is located on W. Olentangy St./Powell Rd./SR 750 ¼ mil east of Sawmill Parkway.) The Memorial Service will be held 11:00a.m. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2016 at RIVERSIDE BIBLE CHURCH, 5330 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43235.
