Arthur Charles Brown, 92, died on May 13, 1992 in Provo, Utah.
Born July 27, 1899 in Scipio, Utah, to Jorgen Petersen and Annie Peterson Brown. Married Nona Hatton, April 8, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died February 8, 1982. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving a mission to the Central States. Bishop of the Scipio Ward, Stake President of the Millard Stake. Served on the High Council in the Sevier Stake, North Sevier Stake, Parowan Stake and the Cedar Stake, and was also the Patriarch of Cedar Stake. He had served as county clerk in Millard County, clerk of 5th District Court under Judge Will L. Hoyt; and District Clerk for The District 5 State Road Department of Transportation.He is survived by three sons and three daughters, Dr. Rodney Brown, and Dr. Gaylen Brown, both Cedar City; Dr. Raymon Brown, Palm Springs, Calif.; Mrs. Dee (Connie) Grenawalt, Yucaipa, Calif.; Mrs. Dr. Darrell (Barbara) Foote, Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Dr. Gary (Marilyn) Watt, Provo; 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Mon., 11 a.m. in the Cedar North Stake Center. Friends may call at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Mon. 9-10:30 a.m.
Interment, Cedar City Cemetery.
