Armistead M. Dale served as a Union soldier during the Civil War.. He enlisted as a private in Company B, 34th Infantry Regiment Ohio on 02 September 1861. He was transferred to Company B, 36th Infantry Regiment on 28 February 1865, after the 34th Regiment was decimated in a surprise attack.
