Member of the Order of the Eastern Star
CURLLSVILLE -- Arlie Elaine Curll, 80, of Curllsville, died Saturday, September 25, 2004 , in Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Sligo following a long illness.
Born March 10, 1924 , in Monroe Township , she was the daughter of James W. and Melda Heeter McDowell.
Mrs. Curll was married in Callensburg June 30, 1944 , to Todd Curll, who survives.
Mrs. Curll was a member of Licking-Cherry Run Presbyterian Church in Sligo and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Curll was a homemaker and was known for her excellent cooking which earned her many awards. She always had a helping hand for those in need.
Also surviving are a son, William Curll and his wife Mary Lou of Columbiana , Ohio ; two daughters, Marilyn Gathers and her husband Connell of Sligo; and Kathy Hoenig and her husband Russ of Summerville; and one granddaughter, Lisa Curll of Columbiana , Ohio .
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Curll was preceded in death by one brother, William R. McDowell.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 27, at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo .
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 3, in Grace Community Church, Curllsville, with the Rev. Robert Moore, former pastor of the Licking-Cherry Run Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Sligo Cemetery .
