Beck, Ardella Eliza Bates Ardella Eliza Bates Knight Beck died June 11, 2005 at the Logan Nursing Home. She was born on March 11, 1917 in Park City, Utah, daughter of Daniel Hyrum Bates Sr. and Mary Ellen Skinner. Ardella married Frank Dean Knight in Provo, Utah, June 2, 1932. They were later divorced. One daughter, Dorothy Lee, was born to this union. She passed away at the age of 13 months, and was buried in Mohave, California. Ardella married Dean Beck on January 11, 1969. He passed away January 12, 2000. Dean and Ardella lived in Mapleton, Utah until 1994. They then moved to the Logan Care Center, Logan, UT. Ardella continued living there until the time of her death. Ardella is survived by a sister, Dorothy (Robert) Holmes, West Haven and a brother, Melvin (Gladys) Bates, Magna. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Lee, her husband Frank, her husband Dean, her parents, four sisters and two brothers. Her family will meet friends at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E. 200 S. in Springville, UT on Friday, June 17, 2005 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
