Archie Manuel Zahner, 80, died November 16, 1988 at his home.
Son of the late Lewis Walter Zahner and Minnie Pearl Davis Zahner, he was born December 10, 1907 at Steele, Mo.
On November 24, 1984 at Steele, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Glynn Lester. Mr. Zahner was a retired truck driver and farmer.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Glynn Zahner of Steele; His stepmother, Mrs. Mary Zahner of Steele; Two daughters: Mrs. Doris Gordon of Jackson, Tenn. and Mrs. Phyllis Ann Winter of Caruthersville, Mo.; A granddaughter, Mrs. Diane Richards of Caruthersville; Two grandsons: Tom Winter of Portsmouth, N.H. and Jeffery Winter of Annapolis, Md.; One brother, Henry Zahner of Tampa, Fla.; Two sisters: Mrs. Adell Helsley and Mrs. Maybell Walters, both of Tempe, Ariz.; a stepsister, Mrs. Ruby Channell of Steele; three stepdaughters: One stepson; and Two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 1988, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. David Powell officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
