This is the Archibald McIntyre who fought in the War of 1812. In the 1812 Pensioners book by Virgil D.White on p.1235 of Vol 2 is the listing: McIntyre, Archibald, Flora, WC-31339 Srv as a Capt of a Company of NY Militia. This is the unit that John McIntyre fought in. His gravestone inscription is 'Coln'-Colonial-he got a promotion from Captain?? This is also the Col Archibald McIntyre who was an executor for the will of Peter McIntyre. Not sure if this Archibald was in Rev War??

Sect 3 Coln Archibald McIntyre d. Apr 23, 1834 age 74. Next is Jennie, wife of Coln. Archibald d. May 6, 1822 age 56. She is dau of Cornelius Swartout.
