Lord Archibald Douglass I was born in 1665, in Edinburgh, Scotland, his father, Lord Archibald Charles Henry Douglass, was 22 and his mother, Harriet Ella Gifford, was 20. He married Lady Elizabeth Louise Daley about 1684, in Scotland, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 28 February 1728, in Kent, Delaware, British Colonial America, at the age of 63, and was buried in Compass, West Caln Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States.
