I am sending this to the John Winton descendants in my address book.
I have found many names mispelled in wills and marriage records. My husband's Caleb Cox was found as Calip or even Kalip Cox in records....in his father-in-law's will his wife Elizabeth Hicks Cox was listed as living in Tipper Co. (Tipphah Co., Ms). I have seen Charity Hicks Spivey's name as Spiva. My Herridge line is found in records in Georgia in 1790's as Hennage or Hedge and at least one line took the Herriage spelling.
Thank you for sharing this record...I'm sure some of the John Winton researchers will be very appreciative if they do not already have this information!

Hi,
Found a copy of Arabala Cunnyngham's will today.
Leota
Note the spellings of the name Arabala and her daughter Irabella. This is how they appeared in the will. It mentioned her late brother Henry Good's estate. She apparently inherited something from it and she gave that will it to a grandson (along with many other things) on the condition he did not die before he came of age. If he died his inheritance was to be divided between Charlotte Turnley and Irabella Winton. She named George Turnley and George Graham executors of her estate. It was signed with an "X" and the name Arabala Cunnyngham written below it on 26 August 1798.
Now the "Good" find was as follows:
A letter addressed to Sam Lancaster dated 2 March 1822.. " .. In compliance therewith I have examined the docket of the orphans, an d found in the same the administration account on the estate of Henry Good was passed on the 31st day of March 1801. From which it appears that the Balance in the Hands of John Good the accountant was (pounds sterling sign) 663-9-5 1/2 be distributed as follows: to wit - to Robert Good - (pounds sterling sign) 221-2-8 3/4. To Jane
Wilkerson formerly Jane Good - (pounds sterling sign) 221-2-8 3/4. To the other sister her name not known (pounds sterling sign) 221-2-8 3/4.
The administrator has given security with two sureties in the Registers office Bond Files.
I am gentlemen very respectively your able servant Emanual Reigart, Cl.K.O.C. for the city and county of Lancaster. Penn. (Beside this closure at the bottom of the page where a cc: would be today were the names of George Turnley and George Graham.)
Witnesses were John Turnley and Mary Turnley. The copy was apparently made by the county clerk and dated 5 July 1799. A record of the inventory of her estate shows a date of 14th of December 1798. So she must have died between 26th August and the 14th of December of 1798.
I hope to be able to scan this sometime in the future. The documents are very old, yellowed and generally average condition for this era. The few copies I was able to make today resulted in copies that are dark and difficult to read. I hope this helps your research.
