- ↑ Anthony was 19 years old when he tried to retrieve a pocketbook from a Public Service Electric and Gas Company Transformer by climbing an eight-foot fence. He suffered third degree burns to more than half his body from the waist up when he touched a 26,000 volt transformer and caused a ground connection which caused a short-circuit and flashed white. He was rushed to Crozer-Chester Burn Center from St.Francis Hospital where he died three days later. He was buried in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery after a funeral mass at Church of the Immaculate Conception.
