    Anthony Merwin, bp. at Amersham 28 May 1562. "son of Thomas Murwin"; d. probably at Clewer, Berks, between 7 March 1633/4, when he made his will, and 4 April 1634, when it was proved. He requested burial in the churchyard of Clewer, and made bequests: … the messuage or tenement wherein I dwell and other appurtenances therein to belonging and the three acres of land now used as a Garden purchased of Thomas Dickenson unto my kinsman Thomas Murwen dureing the terme of his naturall lyfe and after his decease … unto Thomas Murwen his eldest sonne and the heires of his body lawfully begotten and to be begotten. And for want of such yssue then I will the same to come to John Murwen the second sonne of the sayd Thomas … [if Thomas leaves no issue] to Richard Murwen the third sonne of the said Thomas. … [if Richard leaves no issue] then the same to be and come to Elizabeth Murwen daughter of the said Thomas and her heires forever Item I doe give and bequeath my lease estate and terme of yeares in the Tenement wherein Robert Lovell now dwelleth unto the sayd Elizabeth Murwen together with the Bed Bedsted and all the bedding and furniture thereto belonging and all other goods moveables and implements nowe being in the Chamber where I nowe lye … to the said Elizabeth Murwen [£50] to be payed unto her at her age of [20] yeares … to John Murwen and Richard Murwen £20 apiece at age 21 … to John Tinker 20s and to Sarah Tinker 20s … to Susanna Smith my sisters daughter 40s … to my kinswoman Katherine Hill of Rickmondesworth parrish £10 within one year. … to Joane Lovet the maidservant 10s … to Thomas Murwen the sonne before named 50s.… kinsman Thomas Murwen the father to be sole executor, and his loveing friends Humfry Collins of Clewer and William Mills of New Windsor to be overseers. Witnesses were Robert Lowe, Walter Merwen, Mary Collins, and John Laxton. Signed by mark and seal.
