Anthony J. Hammer Anthony J. Hammer, 88, formerly of Green Springs OH, passed away Nov. 2 5, 2004, at the Hospice Residence of Stuart. Mr. Hammer was born Jan. 5, 1 916, in Northern OH to Louis and Theresa (Depinet) Hammer. Survivors include: two sons, Robert L. Hammer (Patricia) of Tiffin and Ant hony J. Hammer Jr. (Ruth Ann) of Tequesta, Fla.; three daughters, Loret ta Nickel of Port Clinton, Kathryn Anstead (Curtis) of Green Springs and M ildred Ludwig (Raymond) of Tiffin; two sisters, Viola Klaiss of Bettsvil le and Delores Whitt of Upper Sandusky; three brothers, Ralph Hammer of Ti ffin, Richard and Edward Hammer, both of Kansas OH; 16 grandchildren a nd 34 great-grandchildren. Those who preceded him in death were his wife, Elizabeth, his parents, thr ee sisters, Lucille Burdette, Matilda Nye and Mary Magdalene Tiell; five b rothers, Garold, John, Franklin, Charles and Lawrence Hammer; one grandso n, James Hammer and one great-grandson, Curtis Anstead. Mr. Hammer, a former farmer and retiree from Whirlpool Corp., was a memb er of St. Joe Catholic Church in Stuart. His hobbies included woodworkin g, fishing and baking for his grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in the chapel of You ng and Prill Funeral Home, Stuart, Fla., where services will be at 10 a. m. Monday, Nov. 29. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, F la.
