Ansel's age at death calculates to Dec 1812, and so, along with Source:Pomeroy, Albert Alonzo. History and Genealogy of the Pomeroy Family : Collateral Lines in Family Groups, Normandy, Great Britain and America;, p. 440, it seems most likely Ansel's birth was in 1812. Very few records of Appleton have been located. Source:Nutt, Charles. History of Worcester and Its People, p. 3:401, says he married Elizabeth Walker Brown of Worcester, and they had two children in 1836 and 1839, but nothing after that to tell if his recorded birth is reasonable.
