When she was 17 years old, she traveled to America with her younger brother, Gottlieb Tueller; he was 16. She lived with her mother’s brother, Jacob Kunz, in Bern, Idaho, until her parents arrived the following year.At the age of 23 she became the third wife of Edward Davis. Edward’s second wife Fannie recommended Annie as a wife saying, ‘she is a little Swiss girl who is very quiet.’ When Edward approached Annie about marriage, she said he would have to see her parents. Her parents encouraged him to see after an older lady. He was 47; however, Annie decided for herself. They were married in the Logan Temple on 25 August 1889.When they were first married, they rented a room from Annie’s mother who had a boarding house where Annie helped out. It was there that their first baby boy was born. They moved to the Teton Basin where it was very cold. Annie gave birth to another boy in the Teton Basin. When their business of a store did not do well, they went back to Paris, Idaho, where Annie’s mother lived. Annie delivered a baby girl when they got back to Paris. In 1896 they moved to Afton, Wyoming, where four of their children were born. They had a meat market and a café. Soon a friend told them about Carey, Idaho, and they moved there to start a store. Two additional children were born there, but little Mary did not live. Annie Tueller Davis died in Carey, Blaine, Idaho on 24 December 1927. Annie and Edward had nine children; six lived to adulthood.
