Questionable Information Found
Annie does not appear to belong to this family. She is not listed with this family in the 1870 census. See the following discussion.

Annie is listed as a daughter living in the household of this family in 1880 as cited. But she is not listed in this family in 1870 (lines 9-14). This gives her the appearance of an adopted daughter.

There is not enough information from this census entry, but there is an Anna Miller Thissell born 6 Jun 1868 in Beverly to Amos and Elizabeth Thissell (record 54). The father Amos died one year later (record 59) and Anna is living with her widowed mother and sister in the 1870 census (line 24). The mother appears to have died in Sept. 1870 (record 81). In 1880, her sister appears to be living in the household of George Gray where she is listed as "Adopted" (line 34), so it would not be surprising to find that Annie was also adopted.

The daughter of Amos Thissell goes on to marry William Tucker in 1895 (record 37) and she died in 1909 (death certificate). No trace can be found of any Annie Thissell d/o Nicholas other than the listing in the 1880 census.
