The evidence of Annetje's probable baptism is problematic. As Ms. Johnson explains in her article, there are difficulties with the names of the parents (Albert for Aucke and Magdalena Jans instead of Magdalena Pieterse) in this document. This identification is supported by the marriage record for Annetje which states that she was "from Amsterdam" at the time of her first marriage in 1661 in Brooklyn. Since the date, place and witness fit with what is known of the family, the baptismal record therefore is currently included, pending further developments.
