!First name sometimes spelled "Ann". !Became the plural wife of George Washington Gibson at age 15 in Salt Lake City. George and his first wife, Mary Ann Sparks, had eleven children, the tenth of which, Manomas Lavinia Gibson, was 15 years old at the time of George and Anne's marriage. Apparently quite a few problems arose between the Gibson children and their father's new young wife. !Dan Willis (Anne's 3rd Great-grandson), with two of his sons, Connor and Morgan, located Anne's grave at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memory Lane (2000 East 4800-5042 South), Salt Lake City, UT on 8/15/94. Listed as "Ann Newman". Headstone lists birth and death dates, respectively, as 1840 and 1874. Plat is 4th East, 1st North, Space 2. Ann is buried next to her brother, William H. (Hughes) Newman and his wife, Jane Ann (Allen). Cemetery officials confirmed that Holladay Memorial Park "absorbed" the old Cottonwood Cemetery. !"Cottonwood" is now known as the Holladay area of Salt Lake City, Utah. !Willenhall is currently located in the metropolitan county of West Midlands (Birmingham and surrounds), immediately south of current Staffordshire. !Histories of Joseph Newman and Elizabeth Hughes Newman, published June 4, 1973, by Margaret Ann Newman Wells, granddaughter of Joseph Newman and Elizabeth Hughes Newman, and daughter of Thomas Samuel Newman.
