"In the name of god Amen 1579 ... the sixte daye of Maye I Anne Myllett one of the daughters of John Mylett Late of Newburye deceased felinge my sellffe weak, sycke and Feble in bodye but nev[er]thelesse of good and parfytt [i.e., perfect] remembrance I thanke god doo make and ordeine this my last wyll and Testament ... Fyrst when yt shall please god to Fynishe my dayes, I bequeathe my soule to allmightie god my maker and redemer by whose m[er]cie a monge the Faithfull I truste to be saved and my bodye to be buryed in the churce yeard of Newburye. It[e]m I give to the poor people of the syed Newburye x s in bred to be distributed at the discretion of my overseers It[e]m I give to my syster Jone three poundes in monie. It[e]m I give to my syster Margarett three pounds in monie a payre of Newe canvas sheets a cowrse table clothe It[e]m I give to my syster Elezabeth a payre of Lockeram pillow beares It[e]m I give to my syster Jone a Christeninge peace, It[e]m I give to my brother Will[ia]m Mylletts wyffe a cubborde clothe a Towell a awer clothe The residewe of all my goodes monie and Cattall moveable and unmoveable my debts and legacies payed and my Funeralls [sic] discharged I give and bequeath to Will[ia]m Myllett my brother whom I make my full and sole executor of this my last wyll and Testament And I make myne ov[er]seers my verie Frends Thomas Arnolde and Robert Taylor To see this my last wyll p[er]formed and I give to eche of them for theire paynes xijd Testor juic p[re]sent Johes [Winder?] Scri' testis huius Testamenti Petrus [Pheruhed?] clericus [will proved (blank) day of June 1579, inventory Ð13 22d."
