K199 Griis family was originally Danish nobility, but with time bourgeois. Father of Niels Griis, Niels Lauritzen Griis, was the chief and trader in Oslo. A brother of the merchant was sagfogden on Bragernes, Hans Lauritzen Griis, his son Lars Hansen Griis was wood shop Bragernes. His daughter, Anne Larsdatter, was married to Steinar Olberg. Thus, she was ancestor to many families here, especially in Krødsherad, Eggedal and Sigdal, but also far beyond.
