Anne B. Dow, 88, died Jan. 16, 2014 at Coastal Manor, Yarmouth. She was born Feb. 3, 1925, in Dover-Foxcroft, the youngest child of Guy and Ruth Albena Bonsey. Anne attended school in Dover-Foxcroft and graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1943. She married Paul R. True, Oct. 31, 1946, who died June 27, 1969. Anne married Wayne B. Dow Feb. 2, 1977, who died June 18, 1997. She was employed as a children's wear buyer by Chernowsky's in Augusta for 32 years. After her retirement she worked part time for Paper Kicks in Hallowell. She was a member of St. Andrews Church, and the Neighbors of Riverside Drive Club for more than 50 years. Anne enjoyed traveling, reading, her abundance of friends and her family. She was predeceased by her husbands; her son, Paul R. True Jr., his wife, Alice; and her three brothers and three sisters. Anne is survived by her daughter, Patricia Banks, and husband Stephen, of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Augusta; stepdaughter Sandra and her husband, Alfred, of Westfield, Mass.; grandchildren Shannon Gardner, of Bothell, Wash., Amy DeRaps and husband Mathew, of Chesapeake, Va., Doris Champagne, of Benton, and Paul R. True III and his wife, Cassie, of Carlsbad, N.M.; seven great-grandchildren, Owen, Colby, Bryce DeRaps, Caleb, Jared and Samantha Champagne, and Layne True; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral and burial will be at a later date. Arrangements will be made by Funeral Alternatives. |
