[Note: this page contains deaths for 1871 and 1872 and Anna is recorded in both parts. The first says married, the second appears to say widowed, but hard to decipher. Both show the same age at death despite the date of death being a year apart. The birth in 1793 seems most consistent with the census entries.]

WHIPPLE, Anna, d. [James Jr.?] and Salley or Sarah, [born] April 19, 1793.
[Note: "James Jr.?" appears to be a guess by the compiler based on the mother named Sarah. We know from her grandfather's will that she was an illegitimate daughter of her mother Sarah Whipple and her birth is attached to the grandfather's family register [1]. Source:MacIntire, Susan Holt. Genealogical Register of the Early Families of Shoreham, Vermont, 1761-1899, p. 6, apparently relying on this guess, incorrectly calls her the d/o James Whipple and Sarah Meridan [sic, Merriam].]

  5. Anna Atwood is named in her grandfather's will of 1822.
