    Will of "Joseph Whipple of Grafton ... Gentleman, being weak in the Body", dated 27 May 1822, filed 30 Aug 1823, proved 7 Oct 1823, names wife Katheringe ["all the household Goods which she brought with her at the time of our marriage"]; my three daughters Sarah Hastings, Mary Howard, and Martha Whitney; "my daughter Hastings ... her two children to wit, to her illegitimate daughter Anna Atwood and her son Daniel Hastings. Son in law Jacob Whitney sole executor.
