Classification: Obituary Surnames: Merriman, Tracy The Warren News, Friday, May 24, 1889 Obituary Anna, daughter of George and Leala Tracy, and wife of James M. Merriman was born Fev. 8, 1818 in Wayne Co., Ohio. Was married to Mr. Merriman April 6, 1837. They settled in Liberty township, Wells Co., Ind., Oct 19, 1839. Her death occurred May 15, 1889, aged 71 years, 3 months and 7 daays. This year makes the fiftieth of the residence of the Merriman family in the community which they helped to build up and where they reared a family of 11 children, 7 sons and 4 daughters (Also one granddaughter.) All the children attended their mother's funeral except one son being in Kansas. She leaves 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She united with the Disciples of Christ when 14 years old, and maintained a christian life to the end of her pilgrimage. Religious services were conducted by the writer and interment at Mossburg cemetery in the presence of a very large concourse of friends.
