Anna married Nils Peter Svensson, and they moved to the village of Tjureda from Nykulla Södergård on February 9, 1889. In April 21, 1892 he moved to Asa, where he became part owner of the farm with his younger brother, Carl Gustaf (b. 1872). Anna and the children followed on October 22, 1892. They were listed in the 1896 Asa parish record.

The family moved from Asa parish to Tjureda 1899-05-01, and from Tjureda to Söraby parish 1903-03-26. They were living in Tjureda in the 1900 Census.

At the time of the November 12, 1907 estate inventory after her mother's death, they were living in Gardsby parish in Norrrvidinge.

In a 12/04 letter, Folke said Anna Kathrina Svensson had moved to Sandsbro Växjö (5km NE of center), and he will be getting more information if he can.

Estimated death date is based on age 80.

I began to seek for the descendants of Anna Katarina Petersdotter (b 1864) and Nils Peter Svensson (b1859) They had 4 children - Hilda Kristina 1890-1952 - unmarried, no children. Sven Johan Oscar 1895-1901 Karl Gunnar Ejnar 1899-1953 farmer in Ormesberga, married, had 7 children, all still alive. See below. Svea 1902-1937 married Stendal - had a son Helge Stendal 1929-1993 - unmarried.

Karl GUNNAR Egnar had these 7 children: Magda 1924 - 2 children, Dagny 1926 1 child, Karl-Axel 1928 1 child, Erik 1930 3 children, Åke 1931 1 child, Sevi 1933 no children, Harald 1937 2 children. Of course some children also in next generation - and maybe next-next..

When I came so far, I noticed that I know Harald Nilsson and his wife Kerstin rather well - she was working at my school and he belonged to the same organisation as i did! I called them and got their email-address: kerstin.harald@@bahnhofbredband.se - they want you to send an email, and they can tell you more about the family. We had a nice hour in telephone.

They knew nothing about Johan Petersson (1845) and his family. I have found out, that he married Marta Katarina Johansdotter born 1864 and they had at least two children - Carl Gustaf born 1880 and Ester Mathilda born 1883. Do you want me to seek fuurther for them. As I have some expenses for archives etc. I usually get about 10 dollars "per hour work" - but do not send now if you want me to go on. I think I did about 6 hours with your question.

Research by Vadstena Archives 10/30/06: The information below is taken from the parish register for the period of 1897-1910 for Tjureda parish.

Nils Peter Svensson, born 1859-06-02 (Note: Gravestone indicates 1859-08-02) in Tjureda, married 1889-04-14 to Anna Katarina Petersdotter, born 1864-01-03 in Tjureda. Daughter Hilda Kristina, born 1890-01-29 in Tjureda, Son Sven Johan Oskar, born 1895-12-01 i Asa, died 1901-11-16 in Tjureda, Son Karl Gunnar Engnar, born 1899-06-12 in Tjureda, Daughter Signe Svea Maria, born 1902-06-10 in Tjureda. The family moved from Asa parish to Tjureda 1899-05-01, and from Tjureda to Söraby parish 1903-03-26.

After I forwarded the info to Folke, he sent a photo of Anna and his mother taken at Anna's son, Karl Gunnar's, 60th birthday in 1959. Many of Anna's descendants lived less than twenty miles from Nykulla! And all of her seven grandchildren were still living in the area.
